I ordered my very first print last week and was elated when I received it (quick delivery as well!!!). The packaging was meticulous and the Customer Service was phenomenal! I have been ordering his mini calendars for two years and just LOVE them! I don't fan ahead so I can be pleasantly surprised each month! Thank you!!

John Sloane has the best painting I have ever seen! (and I browse a lot)! :-) I asked for the personalized calendar that I could have all of my favorite painting in one place and I got it! The price was really great and it took less than 2 weeks to receive the calendar! The print manager was really nice and responded really quickly to all of my e-mails! I'm planing to be back for more as soon as new painting will be available! Thanks so much!

John Sloane’s artwork is exquisite. An obvious talent for capturing the beauty of rural American countryside at its best. His paintings draw me in to a nostalgic journey through the seasons of yester-year which celebrate the evolution of country life.

Hi, This isn't really a testimonial. I just wanted to thank you for your kindness. My daughters sent for the print A touch of White ,that I have wanted for a while, for my birthday. You were so kind as to put a birthday card in with it. That really meant a lot to me and my daughters.
I love your work and feel like you and your wife about the country and you portray it so beautifully in your art. Thank you again and you have a family of fans from Indiana. Sincerely Pam

John's Country calendar scenes have been such a joy for her. Yesterday, this 90-year old woman told me how looking at the girl feeding the hens brought her back to the joy of her childhood when she had that task; it brings her peace while she sits in her nursing home room, gazing at the beautiful paintings, which colors, shadows and lights come together to create beauty that warms the soul. Last month, I wanted so much to jump into June to sit beside the dog on the porch to hear the light flutter of the quilts drying in the light June air. Thank you for sharing your talent to warm and lighten the burdens of so many!

I have been collecting the calendars for many years and this year also got the engagement calendar.
At the end of the year I carefully tear the pictures off the calendar, trim any rough edges, and then each new month I put them out around the house on doors or in the bedroom, etc.
Sometimes they give me such peace looking at the scenes I wish I could walk into the picture and visit awhile.
My husband and I take trips to Ohio Amish counties and many of these pictures remind me of those areas.
The engagement calendar is great because the weekly squares are wide enough to write on. I usually fold it over to the picture and prop it up on my desk to look at this weeks pictures. It is wonderful to have a different picture every week.
When my children were little we used to make a ritual of changing the page to the next month's calendar picture and no peeking ahead was allowed.
I hope someday to be able to purchase a print. My father and father-in-law were artists and all of my children are also. We love the outdoors and family life, too so Mr. Sloane's paintings give us great pleasure. Thank you, Mr. Sloane!

John Sloane's pictures are truly the greatest. I always get his calendar. I wish I could get the big piece puzzles with his different pictures on the puzzles.
It seems that all of the big piece puzzles have pictures that are not that great.

I have been getting John Sloane's Wall Calendars by Lang for years for our kitchen. A couple of years ago I looked at the Four Seasons Lang Calendar and the pictures weren't right. I didn't actually realize that it was a different person's work. I just assumed it was John Sloane's panting's because it was the same Four Seasons Calendar and it said it was the 20 something edition, but as soon as I saw it I thought John Sloane had changed his style, and I didn't like it at all so I got a different calendar.
This year I went to Andrews McMeel Publishing and found the John Sloane's Country Seasons engagement calendar. I got it today and I love it! Most of the pictures or maybe all of the pictures have been in the calendars before, but if you like a picture, one month on the wall isn't enough. I hope the engagement calendar will be available for many years.
I don't like the Lang engagement calendars. They have one picture for four or five weeks in a row and their small extra picture is the same for the whole year. It never goes along with the main picture. I quit buying Lang engagement calendars years ago.
I am really looking forward to using my John's Sloane's Country Season engagement calendar this year and hopefully many years to come.
I also notice on this website that there are wall calendars also, so I will order that for our kitchen.
Thank you John for all of your wonderful paintings!

Received my first print today and am so excited. It is so beautiful. The colors are so vivid and sharp. I know I'll spend many hours looking at this picture because it reminds me of my childhood.
Thank you John. Love your calendars, too.

I absolutely love your work especially "Christmas Homestead". The picture reminds me of my grandparents' home and the Christmases I had there as a child. I would dearly love to purchase a print. According to your website you don't ship outside of the U.S. Is there a gallery in Ontario or a Canadian website where I can order from? I would very much appreciate your help.
Thank you so much.
John Sloane Art replied: Thanks for your wonderful comments!
We do offer limited shipments to Canada via manual ordering. Please contact us directly via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.

I'm a big fan of John Sloane's calendars. I have a question if someone can help me here. On the main page to the left of John Sloane website , you will see John's Image Gallery and below you will see AMISH , my question is it is a wall calendar like Four season or just some print ? I would like to have and Amish wall calendar.
Thank you .

I have been a huge fan of John Sloane's calendars and art work. My mother gave me my 1st "FOUR SEASONS" calendar. It was love at first sight, the beautiful paintings of early Americana. I WILL NOT have any other calendar in my home! I look forward to the end of every month to flip the page, and also buying my next years calendar. I have also framed many of the paintings and hung them on my walls. His work is just beautiful!

I have been collecting John Sloane's Four Seasons calendars for many, many years. His beautiful and quaint artwork displays the "heart and soul" of America the way it used to be, and the way we all wish it were. His kind and gentle spirit is revealed through his artwork. I wouldn't have any other calendar in my kitchen. It is truly a blessing to look at month after month. May God bless you and yours John, all the "seasons" of your life.

We have enjoyed John Sloane's Four Season Calendar for 25 years. While living on Long Island we always had the dream to have a small farm basing it on the wonderful pictures we looked at each day on our calendar. Fifteen years ago we found our dream in upstate New York and are now living that dream each day. John Sloane's images brought us back to the time when values were important.

I have been a huge fan of John Sloane's paintings for years. He is my ultimate favorite artist of all times. Having been raised on a farm in the "Good Old Days," I can relate to almost every single one of his paintings. He captures our hearts by taking us back in time, the way we wish it were today. His outstanding paintings are so real, most of the time one cannot distinguish them from actual photographs. I have several of his wonderful paintings on my walls, and I relive "The Good Old Days" each and every day I see them. He takes me back home again, and makes me wish I could just jump into each and every single one of his paintings, and never come back out again. Unbelievable amazing talent, John--keep on painting for us!!

I LOVE Sloane's take on rural American Life.
L from Schaumburg, Illinois - United StatesOctober 3rd, 2010
John's art takes me to a back to a time I can barely remember. An old weathered porch, a crisp, fall breeze, clothes hanging out on the line. Old country living, simple days and simple times.
I keep a calendar in my kitchen, right across from where I sit. One of the first things I see in the morning, one of the last things I see at night.
Towards the end of the month, I can't wait to pick ahead and see next month's picture.
Always so beautiful and always seem just perfect, not a detail missing.

I have been a huge fan of John's calendars and art for the past 10 years. Life as we know it today is, at least from my perspective, very hectic and leaves very little time to stop and enjoy what life is all about. For me John's calendars represent a step back in time to a simpler way of life and whenever I have a hectic day, I can take a virtual tour through one of his scenes in his calendar. He has also been a huge inspiration for many of the quilts I have made and I will be forever grateful for the art he has shared with the world.
